Dear Friend,
Welcome to Houston International Seventh-day Adventist Church— home to believers from 31 different countries. Most of these wonderful individuals journeyed from their homes all over the world to the great state of Texas and in particular to the fastest-growing and most diverse city in the United States— Houston. They came to explore and study; to gain an education and start a family; to worship God and fellowship with other believers; to serve humanity and lead others into a saving relationship with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
We find our greatest joy in leading people to Jesus and in the delightful salvation that He offers to anyone who believes. Our Savior left heaven, became man, died on Calvary, rose from the grave, and is coming back again for those who love Him. We sincerely believe that we will see Jesus again— very soon— and we would love for you to be with us when that happens.
If you need someone to study the Bible with or just to pray with you, then we would be happy if you give us the opportunity. We have over 10 different active prayer groups for adults, youth, and children. Maybe you are new to our city and would just like to find your way around— let us know, we are here to help. And if you are searching for a church home, please visit us or make contact with us.
We have discovered that many individuals that we meet want to get closer to the Lord; others want to learn how to lead someone to Christ; and many just want to serve. I am happy to let you know that here at our church, there are over 27 active ministry groups willing to help you find your mission. If you take a little time to browse our website you will meet our wonderful, motivated staff of Christian volunteers. Come and fellowship with us, friendships and opportunities to serve the Lord awaits.

Lead Pastor
Houston International Seventh-day Adventist Church
As the Senior Pastor, Denton Rhone, guides the Houston International Church Saints into a loving relationship with Jesus Christ. God has given him a vast array of experiences in pastoring, leadership, and executive roles. He has earned a PhD from Mercer University in Georgia and his DMin at Andrews University in Michigan. Before moving to the Texas Conference where he serves Houston International, he has previously pastored in the Georgia-Cumberland Conference and Lake Region Conference as well as at Northern Caribbean University Church in Jamaica, his home country. He ministered as a Life Coach to the Federal District Prison in Atlanta, Georgia. Pastor Rhone also served as the Dean of Religion at Northern Caribbean University. He brings these varied experiences into shepherding the Houston International Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Associate Pastor, Kerwin Jones
An Oakwood University graduate, Pastor Kerwin Jones is currently serving as Associate Pastor over the youth at Houston International SDA Church. As a first-generation minister, he is dedicated to the work of evangelism and soul winning. His mission is to shepherd, to understand, and to inspire the youth who are the future of the church. His desire is to show the love of Christ to the world just as Jesus did.
