The Houston International SDA Church Community Service Ministry provides assistance to anyone in need: church members, homeless, immigrants as well as any residents of Houston without regard to race, color, national origin, religion or handicap. Our ministry includes services to help the homeless which provide blankets, clothing and toiletries, ESL classes, immigration services and support groups for immigrants, jobs skills training and placement for the unemployed, school supplies for students and food for the hungry.
We have a continuing commitment to reach out to the community to meet a need and plant a seed with the love of Jesus Christ. We respond to the Biblical call for the church to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, help the sick and welcome the stranger. Most importantly, we are dedicated to living out our commitment to serve God by serving others.
We are part of a partnership of 42 churches known as Christian Community Services (CCSC) that has been serving the Houston community for over 30 years. The CCSC currently serves 25,000 clients a year with food and clothing distributions, emergency services (payment of bills, rent, etc.), job skills training and interview preparation.
