Day 2

Day 2 of The Great Invitation continues with another powerful message for us regarding one of the parable of salvations, the prodigal son.

Most of us are pretty familiar with the parable of the prodigal son in Luke 15:11-31.  The lost son in the parable, just like many of us today was blinded by the enemy with all the things that we can have in this world.

The prodigal son squandered all of his inheritance.  He lost his wealth and unfaithful friends who were only there because they want something from him. He was in a hopeless state and alone.  This could or had happened to all of us.

He finally realized his mistake, repented and returned to his father.  The son humbled himself and declared that he no longer worthy to be called son.  From Luke 15:22-24, we learned that the loving kindness of the father was far beyond the son’s expectation.  The father not only ran to get his son, covered him with robe and re-instated his status as a son.  He didn’t want the law to be applied to the son which was to be stoned to death.  This illustration represents the love of God for all of us.  The wages of sin is death, but if we repent and surrender to God, He will lovingly take us back with celebration and rejoicing.

We praise God for sister Hannah, our first time visitor that came with her children.  Please come tonight and bring family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors to learn more on what God had stored for us.  We had 77 adults and 22 children in attendance last night and thank you for your continued prayers, support and service for the Master in our various roles.

See you tonight!!
